Information about our organisation

DIA+LOGS – support centre for those affected by HIV/AIDS.

A contact and resource centre for people living with and working in the field of HIV/AIDS is:
1) the first support and resource centre for PLWHAs and their families in Latvia providing information, spiritual, psychological and social welfare support;
2) an information and resource centre for people interested in and working in the HIV/ AIDS sector.


DIA+LOGS – a non-governmental and not-for-profit organisation is founded as a joint endeavour between the Latvia NGOs AGIHAS (Latvian self support group for PLWHAs) and LCG (Latvian Contact Group on Urban, Industrial and Rural Mission) in 2002 and its Board is comprised of key stakeholders and actors in the HIV/AIDS field in Latvia. 


The organisation’s primary objective of is the development and operation of a low-threshold centre for PLWHAs and at-risk groups in greater Riga.  Conveying knowledge and experience about HIV and AIDS, providing a social environment, one-to-one conversations, group sessions for target groups while empowering PLWHAs and providing advocacy are primary aims.  The psychosocial support and prevention information will be developed in part through twinning between Latvian and Norwegian partners.  Outreach programs are also under development.
